Engineering Services Systems engineering is the foundation for every KTM SOLUTIONS, INC. technical problem. Robust design and analysis processes are applied to ensure consistency and precision of results. Our design tool of choice is Dassault Systemes CATIA V5, the premier design system of the aircraft and automotive industry. Our analysts use classical static and fatigue strength methods unless proprietary analysis methods are specified by our clients. We also have the capability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Damage and Durability Tolerance (D&DT) analyses. We also offer rapid prototyping technology so concepts can be actualized before manufacturing investment.
Design - Product design and development from conception to prototype to production. This includes drawing packages, complete with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing of details and assemblies. Unless other arrangements are requested, all drawings are completed to ASME Y14 standards. Our designers will work with the manufacturer to ensure the most cost efficient designs.
Rapid Prototyping - Physical three dimensional rendering of a part before start of production. Prototypes are ideal for marketing presentations, proof of concept, and training. Prototypes in metallic or plastic materials available.
Analysis - Classical analyses are performed to ensure the structural/mechanical adequacy of our designs. Analyses can be performed using your material standards and proprietary mechanical properties, or we will use standards developed for the industry. All designs receive a basic static analysis with formal documentation. Damage tolerance and fatigue analysis is also available.
Technical applications:
3D Modeling - 3D models of conceptual designs from existing hardware.
Bill of Materials - A complete Bill of Materials constructed in Microsoft Excel.
Reverse Engineering - Accurate, fully detailed and dimensioned production style drawings from physical parts or assemblies. 3D models of reverse engineered parts are available as well. Unless other arrangements are requested, all drawings are completed to ASME Y14 standards.
Conceptual Modeling - Presentations and images which better support engineering concept development and convey ideas during the design evolution process.
