College Internships

For greater detail, see the job description for "Engineering Intern (paid college internship)." Students who are pursuing a mechanical engineering or related degree are welcome to apply. This is an ideal program for students that have completed at least their first year of college and a mechanical drafting course. Complete application packages include the following:

  • Letter of participation and recommendation from professor or department head

Each year, KTM accepts applications for both high school and college internships. Out of the dozens of interns who have come through our program since our founding in 2005, over 80% have pursued a career in engineering—several right here at KTM Solutions!

High School Internships

For greater detail, see the job description for "Engineering Apprentice (high school internship)." Students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering are welcome to apply. This program is ideal for students who have already completed a STEAM or CAD class that offers the basics of computer aided design or who have spent time on their own learning a CAD software. Complete application packages include the following:

  • Current Transcript

  • Letter of recommendation from a high-school teacher or guidance counselor
