Thank You from the KTM Family
Today is Veteran’s Day, and we’re thankful for veterans’ service and contribution to our country.
We also appreciate the contributions many veterans have made to the engineering and manufacturing industries, sometimes beginning their training and experience in those fields during their military service. Recent census data indicates that about “13 percent of enlisted service members and 21 percent of officers had an engineering, science, and technical military occupation.”
After their service, post-9/11 veterans in particular (both men and women) are more likely than nonveterans to work in STEM fields like architecture, engineering, computer, and mathematical fields. The same is true for technical jobs related to aircraft maintenance and service.
Aerospace and mechanical engineering would surely not be what they are today without the contributions of those who’ve trained and served in the military.
For your sacrifice, your knowledge, and your service—thank you.
