Classroom Safety
One of the joys of engineering, manufacturing, and design is seeing your products in the real world. During that process, we’ve been thrilled seeing partitions from KTM Solutions in actual classrooms.
Recently we partnered with one of our plastics suppliers to manufacture partitions for local schools, helping them meet CDC guidelines. The first set of elementary partitions was installed this week.
Here’s a look at the factors in play:
Cohorting: Students in this class are split into groups that come to school on alternate days, so only one desk in each pair will be occupied at a time.
Safety: 48” tall panels wrap around students’ desks—there are no gaps, and we round the corners so there are no sharp edges.
Materials: These panels are PVC—easy to see through and easy to clean—with rubber clips for stability.
Our Contribution
Our goal as a company is to help people. In our usual business practice, that goal involves providing reliable engineering services to other companies. But along with everyone else during this pandemic, we’ve shifted gears. Right now our hope is to help students, educators, and office staff feel as safe as possible once their schools and workplaces are able to reopen.
